NAME OF PRIORY
​
This Priory, initially under Letters Temporary, then under Letters of Authorization, and now under Charter from DeMolay International known as Albert Pike Priory No. 38 of the Order of Knighthood, shall be governed first by the By-Laws and Rules and Regulations of DeMolay International and second, by the following By-Laws:
ARTICLE I.
Meetings
Section 1. The stated meetings of the Priory shall be held as follows: (a). in the Albert Pike DeMolay chapter Room in the Scottish Rite Cathedral each third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM. If a stated meeting shall fall on any legal holiday or on a date when the Scottish Rite Cathedral is closed, no meeting will be held. (b). The dinner meetings of the Priory shall be held at a location chosen by the Illustrious Knight Commander on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM.
Section 2. In those months which have a fifth Tuesday, the dinner meetings of the Priory shall be held at a location chosen by the Illustrious Knight Commander on the fifth Tuesday.
ARTICLE II.
Term of Office
Section 1. The Illustrious Knight Commander, Squire Commander, and Page Commander of the Priory shall be elected every four months, on the third Tuesday of January, May, and September.
Section 2. The Registrar shall be appointed by the Advisory Council and shall serve, at the pleasure of the Advisory Council, until his successor is appointed and installed. A Senior Sir Knight, holding a Senior DeMolay Certificate may be appointed as
Registrar.
ARTICLE III.
Fees
Section 1. The Investiture Fee and Life Membership for the Degree in this Priory shall be $35.00 and shall be payable before Investiture. This fee and the life membership shall cover the members’ Priory dues, DeMolay International per-capita fee, and Texas State DeMolay Association’s per-capita fee.
Section 2. The fee for affiliation in this Priory shall be $10.00.
ARTICLE IV.
Representative DeMolay Requirement
A member must have attained the Representative DeMolay award before being eligible for election to the station of Illustrious Knight Commander.
ARTICLE V.
Rules of Order
Section 1. Robert’s Rules of Order shall serve to govern in all cases not covered by the DeMolay International By-laws and Rules and Regulations and Priory By-Laws.
